United Way has a long history of partnering with the business community to advance the mission of improving lives. Every year, dozens of local businesses run United Way fundraising campaigns, volunteer countless hours at our partner programs and serve in critical United Way leadership roles. We gratefully recognize our 2007 Top Corporate Citizens:

2006 Corporate Partner of the Year

Park National Bank/FBOP Corporation - FBOP Corporation and its local subsidiary Park National Bank continue to be amazing supporters of United Way. Not only did donations and employee participation grow in 2006, volunteers from Park national Bank serve on several United Way committees. Additionally, FBOP Corporation is active in many community endeavors that affect the programs and agencies funded by United Way.

2006 Community Impact Award

Collaboration for Early Childhood Care and Education - In its fifth year, the Collaboration includes representatives from several agencies, such as Parenthesis, Infant Welfare Clinic, Hephzibah, Headstart, School Districts 97 and 200, APPLE, West Suburban Childcare Providers Network, Oak Park & River Forest Day Nursery, and many more. The mission of the Collaboration is to support families through high-quality child care and education so that every child will have the opportunity to develop to his/her full potential. The Collaboration has offered hundreds of hours of free professional development to child care providers, sponsored literacy events for families, and advocated for preschool support.
